The Millennial Queenmaker program was started by serial entrepreneur Peter J. Burns III in 2021 as a way to share his knowledge about funding, creating, and operating small businesses with young women entrepreneurs he has gained by creating more than 150 businesses and more specifically the expertise he has developed in identifying alternative methods for raising startup capital. The final ingredient for the program emerged when Burns¸ the father of two daughters and four granddaughters, had an epiphany that young woman entrepreneurs have substantial potential when it comes to successfully starting and operating small businesses. The elements of the program center on identifying qualified candidates that either have a business idea or would like to become an entrepreneur in a field they are passionate about. Burns then mentors the young entrepreneur and leverages a network of service providers that enhance the business’ chance of success.
